The overall aim of the teaching and training activities in the project Q-PorkChains is to continuously (within the duration of the project) provide universities and the industrial actors with the newest knowledge in the field of pork quality.
In order to disseminate knowledge generated by the results of the research modules educational resources will be developed and implemented in teaching and training at all levels from industry to post graduate level. Thus an infrastructure for the delivering of courses will not be included in the project but existing programmes and courses in different countries will be used for the delivering of knowledge.
In the description of work it is stated that the teaching activities to a great extend should be based on e-learning resources and also that a problem-based educational format should be emphasised. The sections below will end in a statement on topics that need to be analysed. The analysis is based on a survey on teaching and training methodology and a workshop, both conducted April-June 2007.
