LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – With the start of the school year, parents and students are getting their supplies ready for a new school year.
Lincoln Public Schools do not have a list of required supplies, as the website states, “In accordance with the Nebraska Constitution and federal and state laws, Lincoln Public Schools provide free public education to all students. This usually means that the district provides the necessary teaching supplies at no cost to the students. This includes textbooks, pencils, erasers, pencils, glue, scissors, paper, notebooks, etc. For this reason, please do not send school supplies for your child’s individual use to school.“
You MAY donate to your child’s class if you wish and LPS provided a list of donation options.
Parents are expected to spend an average of $ 848.90 on school supplies, according to new data from the National Retail Foundation. That’s almost $ 60 more than last year. Total back-to-school spending is expected to hit a record $ 37.1 billion, up from $ 33.9 billion last year and a record high in survey history.
Here are some other districts and the most recent listings we found. If you have an updated list, please email email@example.com and we will add it to that list.
