Under Biden, This Thanksgiving May Break the Bank | News, Sports, Jobs

Overcook the turkey. Make sure there is enough food for each guest. The in-laws go beyond their welcome. These are the typical concerns we think about during the Thanksgiving holidays. But this year, due to the reckless policies of President Biden and the Washington Democrats, skyrocketing inflation and a supply chain crisis, families across the country celebrating the holidays will face new obstacles and historically high prices.

Last year, COVID-19 forced many families to turn to smaller gatherings, and Thanksgiving dinner costs fell to their lowest level in 10 years. But now, as we come back from the pandemic and look forward to reuniting with extended family and friends for our usual holiday traditions, almost every ingredient that goes into the Thanksgiving meal is expected to cost more.

According to the American Farm Bureau, this year’s Thanksgiving holiday will cost an average of 14% more than last year. This includes key items like turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, buns, peas, and pumpkin pie. The price of the turkey itself rose to $ 23.99 for a 16-pound bird, a 24% increase from last year. It’s not just Thanksgiving meals, either: The prices of almost all goods and services continue to rise, with inflation reaching its highest level in more than 30 years.

If you are traveling for the holidays, that won’t be cheap either. Gas prices continue to climb and are currently at their highest level for 7 years, and this trend is only expected to increase. And if the temperature drops and you or your host need to turn on the heat, it will cost you 69% more than last year.

While President Biden and his Liberal allies vacationing in Nantucket may not be affected by these outrageous prices, Iowa workers will be forced to gobble them up. It could end up being the most expensive Thanksgiving ever, and Democrats in Washington aren’t worried at all. They are full steam ahead and scrambling to pull off their reckless tax and spending madness that provides tax cuts for wealthy coastal elites at the expense of middle-income Americans. Many economists believe this most expensive pork bill in history will only make matters worse.

It’s time for President Biden and the Congressional Democrats to listen to the kitchen table – or the Thanksgiving table – the needs of everyday Americans, like the majority of adults concerned about inflation. Their failure to resolve the supply chain crisis, stop spending, and fight inflation is a recipe for disaster this holiday season.
